Education in schools kills creativity because the system is modeled to cater to the masses wherein good citizens and productive workers need to be molded. The students world is crammed with books they cannot finish reading and they gradually turn into a compliant workforce with a narrow set of capabilities. But from the economic viewpoint the environment today is very different, it is complex, volatile and globally inter connected where new age skills are essential. In the creative classroom the teachers and students are both participants in the learning process. Learning about the environment challenges students to use complex thinking, provide time to think and play with new ideas and encounter knowledge in varied ways that lead to personal and meaningful insights. The classroom becomes the playground for exploration inquiry and reflection.
